Top 21 eBay Dropshippers and Wholesalers

TOP 21 DROPSHIPPERS 2006
How can I make money with this information?
The sources listed below supply retail storeowners, eBay power sellers,
and thousands of flea market dealers. The easiest way to make money with
these products is to learn to sell on eBay.
Many eBay sellers also set up a web site.
Will I need anything special to deal with these companies?
You will need a state sales-tax number (or a state use-tax number for
states that do not charge sales tax) and a commercial checking account
to do business with most (but not all) of the companies listed on this
site. Don't panic! Both of these are very easy and inexpensive to get.
Fees range from as low as $10 to apply to as high as $200 in some
states. Usually once you register for a tax number, you can also
register a business name at the same time. You should register a generic
sounding name rather than a specialized name if you want to buy all
types of goods. If you register a name such as Sally's Designer Clothes
this is great for buying clothes but could be a problem if you want to
later buy electronics. A generic name such as Valley Marketing
Specialists will allow you to purchase almost anything. Once you have
registered a business name, walk into any bank with your documents and
you can open a commercial checking account with business name printed on
your checks usually with as little as $100.
Now you are ready to do business!

1. Liquidity Services
http://www.liquidation.com
Liquidation.com is the web site for Liquidity Services, Inc. They are
one of the largest closeout and surplus dealers on the web. They act as
the surplus dealer for major department stores such as Macys and chain
stores like Target and BJ's Wholesale.
Liquidation.com has hundreds of bulk auctions to bid on at any given
time. You get access to a variety of lot sizes including pallets, box
lots and trailer loads. They sell a variety of surplus products:
overstocks, closeouts, shelf pulls, refurbished products and more. Best
of all this company has excellent customer service.
Liquidation uses an auction format similar to eBay. A typical pallet
will vary in price anywhere from $200 to $1,000. Recently a pallet of
game machines including several of each Game Boys, X-Box, and PS2 game
sets that went for an average price of $40 each. Another pallet had a
thousand pair of new name-brand blue jeans (Polo, Lee, Boss, etc.)
selling for less than $1.70 each.
The merchandise changes every day and you can sign up for email alerts
to make sure you don't miss any specials. This company also owns and
operates Government Liquidation.com, which is the official web based
Auction site for the Department of Defense.
http://www.govliquidation.com .

2. LiquidXs.com
http://www.liquidxs.com
This is the place for Brand Name merchandises. LiquidXs acts as the web
site wholesale gateway for the manufacturer. When you place a bid, you
are actually dealing with the manufacturer B LiquidXs is just acting as
the bidding and payment facilitator. They represent major manufacturers
such as Mattel for toys. Liz clothing and major kitchen and home ware
manufacturers. This site does not sell returns or warranty items. All
merchandise is new (called shelf pulls or surplus in the trade).

3. Drop Ship Design.
http://www.dropshipdesign.com/index
There are dozens of drop shipping consolidators on the web, but very few
have a wide range of merchandise and many are fly-by-night companies.
One of the best is Drop Ship Design. (DSD). DSD is an aggregator. This
means they sell at wholesale prices that are somewhat higher than buying
whole-sale items in bulk or that you would get directly from a
manufacturer that drop ships.
(See the next item for locating manufacturers that drop ship) Drop Ship
Design is one of the largest dropshipping companies used by eBay
Sellers. Their merchandise includes jewelry, clothing, accessories,
electronics, house & garden items, collectibles, tools, automotive
supplies, kitchenware and more. Every item has a pre-written description
and a professional-quality photographed. You can simply copy/paste the
description and photo right into your auction. This way you can launch
dozens of auctions per hour. DSD charges a sign up fee of $99.00 to use
their service, but this is actually better than most drop shipping
companies because they have no monthly fees and they only charge
shipping and handling. Other drop shipping aggregations also charge a
drop ship fee on each order that can be anywhere from $3 to $5. Over
time, you will actually save money by paying the one-time fee.
DSD has over 7000 products to select from. Check the prices against what
items are selling for on eBay and in general you can make money on most
of the products they offer. Some products, however, are not competitive,
so it pays to first research a product you are interested in using
eBay's completed items search feature to see 1) what the competition is
selling it for and 2) if the item is actually selling on eBay. If you
take the time to find the smaller niche products that very few others
are selling you will do much better and bring higher prices. For
example, a few months ago I was looking at Garmin GPS units. Several
drop ship companies had them and consequently there were hundreds of
identical units selling on eBay.

4. WorldWide Brands
http://www.worldwidebrands.com
The company above is a drop shipping aggregator. However the best prices
are always available from the manufacturer. It is not well known, but
thousands of manufacturers will actually drop ship for you. WorldWide
Brands is not actually a wholesale supplier. They provide two products:
A light bulk wholesale directory and a list of manufacturers who will
drop ship directly to your customers. Each of the manufacturers has been
contacted by them and agreed to drop ship for eBay sellers. WorldWide
Brands charges a fee for this information, but it is well worth it. They
are the only suppliers of wholesale information actually approved by
eBay.

5. Authentic Wholesale, Inc.
http://www.authenticwholesale.com
Designer Merchandise is HOT. Clothing and accessories by big name
designers such as Ralph Lauren, DKNY, Ann Kline, Burberry, Fendi, Prada,
Von Dutch, Phat Farm are among the easiest merchandise to sell on eBay
and at Flea Markets. Authentic Merchandise, Inc. and the next two sites
are the best places to buy the best selling designer goods.
Take the time to read the Authentic Merchandise web site carefully and
completely. You cannot buy individual items on this site. They sell
mixed lots of designer goods including; Gucci shoes, Mark Jacobs skirts,
Prada handbags, Gucci wallets, Channel scarf and more. The lots are
excellent.
The people at Authentic Wholesale are great Band very honest to deal
with.

6. Luxury Brands
http://www.luxurybrandsllc.com
Luxury Brands is the most well known supplier of famous name designer
goods among eBay power sellers. They sell all the famous brands Band
best of all you can get small quantities. I recently bought 6 Prada
Tussoto handbags for just over $450. They all sold for between $140 and
$155 each. Luxury Brands sells a power seller starter lot for $595 that
is a great way to get started with them.

7. Clothing & Apparel Suppliers
http://www.madisonavenuecloseouts.com
Clothing is a big seller on eBay and it is still possible to buy name
brand clothes from a number of sources at prices good enough to resell
on eBay. Madison Avenue Closeouts is a great source of good quality
clothing for men, women and children. They also carry men's Big & Tall
and women's plus sizes, which are great sellers on eBay.
The pricing is excellent, and they run a lot of specials. Also they are
very honest about describing the quality and make-up of the goods,
although you do have to email a request for that info as it's not posted
on the web site.
If you are looking for a good supplier of children's clothing,
Children's Wholesale has a better supply than Madison Avenue Closeouts.
Another leading closeout clothing dealer is BigBox Warehouse. They are
located in Canada, but ship to the US.

8. Jewelry & Watches
http://www.silversource.com
The Silver Source is one of the largest and most reliable sources of
jewelry on the web. They have been supplying flea market dealers and
jewelry stores for over 20 years and eBay sellers since 1998. They
literally have thousands of styles of almost any type of jewelry Brings,
pendants, necklaces, toe rings and more. Sterling silver rings start at
under $2.00 each. The minimum order is $100. Here is a source for
watches: Alpha Watch sells a large line of fashion watches. Another
leading watch company is United Watch Co.
http://www.unitedwatch.com/wholesale.htm

9. Smart Planet Industries
http://www.smartplanet.net/default.asp
Smart Planet is a large Hong Kong distributor of hot electronic toys and
accessories. These include the powered skateboard (thousands sold on
eBay before Christmas) and the diving submarine. They also sell other
non-toy items. When you get to the site you will see only retail prices.
Click on the link that says "Reseller" and register to get a username
and password. Once in, you can see the wholesale prices.

10. Lik Sang Industries
http://www.lik-sang.com
Lik Sang Industries is a Hong Kong exporter of accessories for Gameboy,
X-Box, Dreamcast, DVD players, PC stuff and lots of neat electronic
goodies and accessories. The web site is the basic retail site. However,
when you click on a specific product there is another link to wholesale
bulk pricing. You can get OK discounts on quantities as small as a
dozen, but the pricing gets much better when you order at least 50 or
more. You will need to email them for better pricing, but they will
usually get back to you quickly.

11. MBK Wholesale
http://www.mbkwholesale.com/newmbk
MBK Wholesale is a large general wholesaler that carries a wide range of
gifts, collectibles and ASOTV items. They are a routine source for a lot
of large power sellers.

12. Dragon Distributing
http://www.dragondistributing.com
Dragon Distributing is a leading, non-competing wholesale distributor
who specializes in the distribution of automotive and consumer
electronics to independent dealers. You will need a tax resale number
and a commercial checking account to do business with them. They carry
all the hot brands of car-audio amps, speakers, cable and accessories.

13. TeleBrands
http://www.telebrandswholesale.com
TeleBrands Wholesale is probably the leading supplier of ASOTV goods to
eBay sellers. There are several companies in this industry but this one
may be the best. They sell most products in one-case lots and the prices
are typically 50-60% below the advertised on TV price. The other big
ASOTV supplier is Salco that runs a drop shipping operation for eBay
sellers at: http://www.ezdropshipper.com

14. Via Trading
http://www.viatrading.com
Via Trading is another large closeout dealer that deals only in pallet
loads. However, many of their pallets sell for as little as $250. They
deal in surplus, overstock and returns from major department store
chains. One thing I have found when dealing with Via, is that they are
very honest in describing the merchandise. In short, you will get what
you pay for.

15. Boones Antiques
http://www.boonesantiques.com/main
Yes, you can buy antiques wholesale. This company suppliers antique
dealers and decorators all over the country. Boone's Antiques main store
is in Wilson, North Carolina. (Actually, "store" is an understatement.
With 4 acres of antiques, they are probably the largest antique's
dealers on the East Coast). Their pieces come from all over the world
and they sell wholesale and retail to a wide range of clients and ship
anywhere. You can see a sampling of products and find out more from the
web site or by calling (252) 237- 1508.
Whatever you're looking for, they probably have it, or can get it for
you. The prices on the web site are not the best they sell for. Always
call them for a quote letting them know you are a reseller.

16. Buy Link
http://www.buylink.com
BuyLink is actually a central place to locate over 400 separate
manufacturers, manufacturer's reps and small wholesale distributors. It
is not a search engine. BuyLink is essentially an on-line
Merchandise/Gift mart that lists thousands of products. You will have to
register, and then wait 24 hours for a confirmation email before you can
access the prices and ordering. But once on the site you can order
directly from any of the dealers. About 1/2 of the listed companies are
either manufacturer's reps or a few are the direct manufacturer
themselves. Most of them sell with a minimum order of 1 dozen or $200. A
few of them will also drop ship.

17. Wholesale Books
Books are great sellers on eBay and at Flea Markets. There is no one
single supplier for all types of books, you will need several to cover
the market.
Here are a few companies that distribute and wholesale books.
-Bookworld at: http://www.bookworld.com
-Book liquidator at: http://www.bookliquidator.com
-Springharbor sell Christian books at: http://www.springarbor.com
You should also check your local yellow pages. At the end of the book
section, there should be a listing for "books wholesale" or Book
Distributors. Most large cities have book distribution companies that
will sell in small quantities.

18. Ellen's Software
http://www.ellens.com
Ellen's Software sells wholesale and closeout entertainment and
educational software. Ellen's is a leading source for children's
software sold on eBay. They supply software to computer show vendors,

electronic toys. For example they have the hot mini remote control
racing cards for as little as $2.50 each. Other examples are HP Digital
cameras for $55 each and wireless LAN ports for $19 each.

20. My Wholesale Source
http://www.mywholesalesource.com
This site sells some of the more popular products found on eBay.
These include leather jackets, steak knives, the cyber-spy mini hearing
enhancer, Embassy leather bags, diet pills and more. The best advantage
for eBay sellers is that you can order in very small quantities so you
can try an item and see if it sells before spending a lot of money.
Their prices are pretty good, but if you want better pricing, and can
order in quantity, just email them for a quote.

21. Innerlight Inc

BONUS: SEARCH ENGINES

AUCTION SELLER'S RESOURCE

http://www.auction-sellers-resource.com/w411search.shtml
This is a free search engine located on the Auction Seller's Resource
site. This is the first place I would start. Spend some time clicking on
the various product links and exploring the suppliers.

WHOLESALE GOPHER
http://www.wholesalegopher.com
This search engine does not have as many sources, but it does have some
different sources not found on the above site.

GLOBAL SOURCES
http://www.new.globalsources.com
GLOBAL SOURCES is a listing of thousands of overseas manufacturer mostly
in the Far East.
Most of these manufacturers will require you to purchase in large
quantities but some will negotiate smaller deals with you. This is where
many of the really large eBay sellers buy their merchandise.
One way to handle the large orders necessary to get the best prices is
to work with another seller to split an order.

SURPRISE FREE BONUS
This one is really cool and simple. Here is a way to find manufacturers,
wholesale suppliers and distributors right near your home.
Go to http://www.smartpages.com
You will see a search box near the top of the page. Click the button
that says "business type" right over the search box. Now type the
letters WHOL in the search box. Next type in the name of the nearest
large city and hit the button that says, "GO." This will bring up a list
of wholesale companies for almost every product you can imagine.
Now when you click on a company unfortunately it only gives you an
address and phone number, it doesn't really tell much about them.
However, today most wholesale companies have web sites. If you see a
company that interests you, just Google it and it will probably bring
you to a web site where you can see their product.
Besides typing the word, WHOL, also try the same thing, but type in the
word Distributor. This will get you a smaller list, but sometimes
distributors are easier to deal with than large wholesale dealers are.
Here is a link to a page on our site where you can find information and
apply for a State Sales Tax number.
http://www.auction-sellersresource.com/articles/taxnumber.shtml
FLEE MARKETS
Flea markets are another way to make scads of money with these products.
Everyone has walked through a flea market at one time or another. When
you see the dealers with two or three tables and all sorts of mixed
merchandise selling stuff for pennies on the dollar, you are seeing a
real pro.
If you would like a free directory of active flea markets in your area,
http://www.cannylink.com/fleamarketguide/index.htm
USEFUL TERMINOLOGY
You need to be aware of some of the common terms used by wholesale
companies. A term such as overstock or surplus describes merchandise
that did not sell. Stores are always receiving new merchandise and they
need to make room for it. Leftover merchandise is first put on a Sale
Table.
After a week or two, anything left is offered to the various liquidators
and closeout dealers. This merchandise is often referred to as "shelf
pulls." Returns are items that have been returned by a customer.
Sometimes the merchandise is fine. For example someone may return a gift
that was the wrong size or color. But, this category also includes
warranty returns. You should be very careful about buying returns,
unless you can inspect them (very unlikely) or you are skilled at fixing
or repairing them. Returns are usually the cheapest goods you will find
have seen pricing as low as ten cents on the retail dollar.
Remanufactured items are goods that were returned to the manufacturer
for warranty. They are rebuilt or repaired and run through the
manufacturer's quality control system and then re-boxed.
These can be great items to sell because they usually come with the full
manufacturer's warranty.
Seconds are items of merchandise that usually have a small cosmetic
flaw.
Sometimes seconds are items that are perfect, but the box or package is
damaged. When buying clothing Seconds are sometimes items with the wrong
size tag. I recently purchased a lot of outdoor clothing from Outdoor
Research that were all brand new with tag, but mis-marked as to the
size. One way to find seconds is to call a manufacturer and ask for the
purchasing department.
When you speak with them, just ask if they have any seconds to sell.
